[Solved] can not figure out rights...help
Hi all, I am very new to ts3 and I have a cod clan.
I could use help with rights to channels where there is a password on.
there is no password on the server.
has been set up some channels where the clan members must be able to get into without having to enter password ..
is there are some who will help me with this?
like as a step by step guide (how to)
i have seen some guides, but i still can't find the solution
Kind Regards

Not sure how you have your server setup but this is the permission I think you are looking for b_channel_join_ignore_password If this is granted/enabled for a server group they can join any channel with a password without having to enter a password. TS3 also has a function that will remember passwords you enter. This function is in Settings->Options->Security

Thanks
Hi poisonpanik
that did it...but i also need to deny access to one channel.. the c.o.s channel..
after i grant b_channel_join_ignore_password then the users are able to access the c.o.s channel..
how do i disable access for the members to that channel..
Kind Regards

I think you're going to want to just have the clients use the "save channel password" option depending on how your server groups are setup. If you have 1 server group that you want to be able to join any channel by ignoring the password then just give them the permission to do so. You could also do it by client permissions depending on how many people it is. If they have this option it applies to ANY channel on the server.
Another option would be to make the needed_join_power for that specific channel higher than what those with the ignore channel password permission have.

Hi poisonpanik
You wrote.......Another option would be to make the needed_join_power for that specific channel higher than what those with the ignore channel password permission have.
That did the trick...everything works now....
members can join locked channels and not the locked COS channel.
Thanks for your unique guidance.
it's was much helpfull

Kind Regards
