Set mic in push-to-talk mode with hotkey by default

How could I set mic push-to-talk by default instead of voice activation detection? I don't want to add the perm of force_push_to_talk on all channels, just wonder is there way make users install ts3 and login a server at the very first time that ts3 had set the mic in push-to-talk mode with a hotkey by default?

Is it possible make TS3 like vent?
When u login a server, the default way to to talk is push-to-talk with left control.
But TS3 is voice activation detection instead.

I know there is a perm can force users only use push-to-talk in channels,but I don't want to use it.

I didn't knew that Vent had such function, but honestly, i've never got deep into the Vent server settings cause i find it a bit confusing.

TS3 has no default server setting for the way to talk. That is set on the client, and as far as i know, the only thing that can change that behavior is that permission "b_client_force_push_to_talk", which you've already figured.

If your problem with that permission is having to set it to all channels, set it to server groups instead
