[solved] ts beta 22 not starting on x86/linux - libts3db_sqlite3.so

Hi,

I just tried to update my TS3 server to beta 22 so I downloaded the server files, unpacked it with tar xvf and then I tried to run the normal startscript.

While trying to start, the server provides me the following error message:

2010-04-13 21:26:34.963292|CRITICAL|DatabaseQuery |   | unable to load database plugin library "libts3db_sqlite3.so", halting!

With beta 21 the server runs smoothly and normal. I've changed nothing in the sql database or the startscript (maybe that's the problem?).

I'd be pleased about some assistance for my problem.

Let me guess, all of you are trying to start your server with

./ts3server_linux_x86

?

Solution :
Use one of the provided startscripts to start up your servers!
It has been solved many times already, so you could have just used the forum search.

I have tried all the startscripts and they all return the same error.

To better understand your problem, make sure you put in which Distro your having issues with.

On Debian 5, here's exactly what I did:

rm *.gz
cp -R teamspeak3-server_linux-x86 ts3-bkup-beta21
wget http://ftp.4players.de/pub/hosted/ts3/releases/beta-22/teamspeak3-server_linux-x86-3.0.0-beta22.tar.gz
tar xf teamspeak3-server_linux-x86-3.0.0-beta22.tar.gz
cd teamspeak3-server_linux-x86
./ts3server_startscript.sh restart

Worked perfectly.

Hi guys,

I found the problem, it only happens for the x86 server.
It requires glibc-2.7 or higher instead of the usual 2.3 or higher...I will fix this.

Please try the updated beta22 installer, it should fix your problems.

glibc 2.7 was standard on my Debian 5 install/update.
This is why I avoid CentOS... that and PHP 5.1.x.
