No join power needed on new channels.
This might not be a bug exactly, and there might be a way around it, I don't know. If you do, please let me know. =)
When creating a new subchannel, it does not inherit the join power needed of it's parent channel.
So any temp channels for instance that are created, anyone can bypass the parent channels and join right into the channel without a problem. This pretty much makes the ability for my membership to create temp channels useless.
Any suggestions on if this is really a bug or if there is a way around it?

You are correct but not really a bug persay.
I do believe that it is planned for permissions to be 'inherited' by the sub-channels if selected to do so. There are other permissions that are similar to the above scenario. But when this new option is implement it should solve the above problem.
