TS3 Server works, but after some time it doesnt. HELP!!

    Hi guys.

I'm running a dedicated server using our 120mbit line at home. On this server I installed TS3 server.

I followed all the steps in the Youtube-guide, but something strange is going on here. First off, I'd like to make clear my ISP does allow serverhosting, they do not block it in any way.

    So what's going on ?

On may 4th around 10PM, I started the server after wathing the YT-tutorial, I made sure I did everything correctly. Some friends showed up, but when I connected via my normal computer (using another ISP (yes, I have 2 ISP's), nobody could hear me. I couldn't hear them. Right after that I got a message from someone over xfire, that he was disconnected from the server, and that now he cannot get in there anymore. Same goes for another guy.

I restarted the server, but it's a nogo. Ever since that day, even after extracting files from the rar file numerous times, people can connect, but 5-30 minutes later they can't.

I'd like to know what I'm doing wrong. So far I can't think of anything.

All ports are forwarded, firewall is turned off on the server, it's connected using a cat6 UTP cable (I also tried Cat5, didn't solve the issue).

    Server details:
    Pentium 4 2.4ghz
    2x256mb PC3200 Kingston ECC Registered
    nVidina FX5200
    40gb hdd
    17" CRT monitor

I know for sure the server is online, because I use this device while playing C&C Renegade (online) as well.

    The internet-line I'm using is:
    120MBIT DOWN, 20MBIT UP

    Server IP: - 82.74.108.124
    Server Port: - 9987 (UDP)
    Server Pass: <no password set>

Strang thing is, that when I connect with my macbook using airport on the same network as the server uses, I can ping it, and there's no package loss.
Then, when I use the server to ping the IP, offcourse it works, no package loss.
But when I connect with my Anus L8400 laptop to the other ISP I use, and ping to the IP, then the results are 100% package loss.

Also http://ping.eu/ping shows 100% package loss.

Can someone tell me what's going on ?
What do I need to do to make this work ?

I hope someone can help me with this.
Contact me directly over xfire if you use it. My xfire-account = jaxdryke.

Thanks in advance for helping me out.

    Cheers,

    Jax

Question, do you use a router for your local computers? If so, you might have to turn on DMZ to the computer IP Address that has the server. If you don't know what I am talking about, ask me and I will try to walk you through it.

    Thumbs up

    Hmm yes, it's turned off.

    I appreciate your help
But I've worked for Belkin, I know my router :P

It's turned on now, let me see if it works.
If not, I'll report back asap.

    Thnx.

    Hey guys.

Someone helped me out, and this is what we've come up with.

If I log on to the server with the serverbot (TS3 client on the server itself), it works fine.
When I log onto the server via my macbook, while serverbot is connected, the whole server goes on the fridge.

So what this tells me, is that when 2 IP's on the same network connect to the server, the server 'collapses'. When I log onto the server, while serverbot is connected, using my other ISP, it works fine.

I think this is a bug in the program.
I never had this in TS2. I used to host a TS2 server for my clan back in 'the good old days'.

Maybe I'm seeing this wrong, if so tell me.

If not, maybe the dev's behind TS should fix it ?

    Cheers,
    Jax
