[Solved] NPL but still stuck to 32 users - licencekey.dat is in server dir

    Hello,

I registered as an NPL and received a licensekey.dat file by mail. I copied this file in the TS3 root dir, and stopped and started the server.

In ts3server.ini at first there were "liscensepath=./"
I changed it to "licensepath=./", I still have the error " Error while fetching: 'error id=2817 msg=max slot limit reached' " when I try to change the virtual server max. number of clients from 32 to 100 in server settings using the ts3wi.

The FAQ states "Non-Profit License (NPL) Registered: This license allows a maximum of 10 virtual servers and 512 slots AND requires registration via Triton's website." Does "512 slots" refers to the number of clients or channels ?

Could you help me please ?

    Regards,
    Jean Coiron

    Hi,

    To fix your problem :

    In your ts3server.ini change :

    licensepath=./ to licensepath=

I still have the same error. But in the log file I see no error :
    2010-05-31 13:36:34.978377|INFO |Query | 1| query from 127.0.0.1:7 i
    ssued: serveredit virtualserver_maxclients=100
    2010-05-31 13:36:34.979358|INFO |Query | 1| query from 127.0.0.1:7 i
    ssued: serveredit virtualserver_needed_identity_security_level=8

How can I be sure that the license file is read by the server ?

You see if the license is loaded after starting the whole server process in the server log.

    Accounting Info Licensing Information
    Accounting Info type : Non-profit

The server certenly not understand the first time.

So remove all file of server, re-unzip (or other) the file put the licence file in the folder AND ONLY AFTER START THE SERVER

That's right, in the log file there was :

2010-05-31 13:31:50.367804|WARNING |Accounting | | Unable to find valid license key, falling back to limited functionality

I believe my main error was to copy and paste the content of licensekey.dat. I deleted it, then sent it using an FTP client, and restarted the server :

    2010-05-31 14:15:10.592689|INFO |Accounting | | Licensing information
    2010-05-31 14:15:10.593109|INFO |Accounting | | type : Non-profit

    Now everything works fine.

Thank you all for you help
