What is this number....

I am dead serious...what does that number mean? It's like, so random and stuff, does it mean chokes? Or what? Someone please explain!

it's the margin of error for the ping. + or - that number is how accurate it is. The smaller that number the better

That number is the standard deviation of the ping, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Standard_deviation - in layman terms it tells you how stable your ping is, +/- 0.0 ms would be a dead stable ping and +/- 100ms would be one that quite often jumps to values 100ms higher or 100ms lower than the average.
