[Solved] Server is outdated with client Beta21
I have installed TS on my Mac and I get this message when trying to start my TS that has worked for so long without any trouble - "The server version is outdated"

I just updated the client and I don't know what else to do? Anybody help?

The message says it all. The new client (beta21) is incompatible with server <23.
Your hoster has to update his server to new Beta 23. Or you downgrade your client to Beta20.

If you've updated to the newest client and you get this message it probably means the server you are trying to connect to has not updated. The client is not backwards compatible in this release.

Server Version is outdated
Hi,
It says my server version is outdated when i try to log into TS, Do I have to manually update the server to fix this? And if so, how do I do that?

Updating TS3 Server
Hi guys,
Had a quick look round the forum but cant find anything else on this.
Ive basically just come onto my computer this morning, loaded my ts3 server and my ts3 client. the ts3 client says there is an update, so I click update.
After updating the client, I cannot connect to my server.. it just says:
"The server version is outdated. The following features are known to not function properly: *voice transmission can be corrupted, this server cannot be used with this client. The server should be updated"
I guess you're then naturally led to believe you must update your server as well, but how do you do this? Surely you dont have to reinstall everything and loose all your admins and settings etc?
I have searched for some help "searched 'update' and 'update servers'" in the forums but cant find anything.
Please help!
Simon

Ok thanks to the admin that moved my post here
and thank you for the link that let me download the old client so I can use Teamspeak again.
However, The question still remains - How do you update your server?
Thanks,
Simon

You should use the search function for that :-/
Stop the server and make a backup of your old server (or database) and copy the new content over it.

Updating your server is as simple as making a backup copy (I do the entire directory but a a minimum you need ts3server.sqlitedb) and then unzip the new files into your server directory. The database won't be overwritten since it doesn't exist until you run the server

This can be found if you search the forums.
