What error do you get? All you have to do is locate i_icon_id, double click the VALUE column and double click the icon you want to use.

when i choose an icon from the window that opens when i click the value mentioned above, i get
"insufficient client permissions (failed on i_group_modify_power (17290/0x438A))"
BUT
when i open the window by right clicking on a channel and choosing edit and then clicking on the icon box and then edit icon, i can upload/delete the icons, but when i choose them from there ( by double clicking ) the window closes, the icon appers in the icon box of the edit channel window, but when i click OK it the window closes as it would normaly, but the icon does not load right from the channel.

You need these permissions to use the icon feature.
i_icon_id
i_max_icon_filesize
b_icon_manage
If you go into the permissions menu and you get the error you listed above "failed on i_group_modify_power (17290/0x438A)" then you don't have sufficient modify power to perform that action. You need to adjust your modify power or the needed modify power of that channel to perform this action.

All three of them:
i_icon_id
i_max_icon_filesize
b_icon_manage
Have the exact same settings with the Server Admin.
And the channels I'm trying to modify the icons, have i_group_needed_modify power= 0.

I too am having the same issue with one of my admin groups. We have multiple gaming tournaments using one Teamspeak server and we have set up 2 level of admins for the server. One is the Server admin group and they have the highest power level on the server below the owner. The other is the Tournament admins which have slightly less permissions. Only a few people have the server admin group and the rest of the administrators are in the other group. The server group can edit the icon of a channel with no problems but the other admin group does just as described in this thread they select the icon they want and when they try to apply it nothing happens and no errors. If any one has any more info in this area please respond. I have compared permissions between the groups and I can't find anything that would not allow them to make this change.

Icons
I have changed my icons no probs in my server.
It's real easy i have the ones for Joint OPs Guild Wars and Aion. All showing on appropriate channels
If you need help maybe get to voice chat on ts to sort you out..
But as i said it's so simple....
Steps i took..
Edit Channel
Icon then Edit Icon
Make sure you have uploaded the icons you wish to use so they sit on the left side panel.
Then select by double clicking on that icon for the channel and Bingo you have yours installed on that channel.

I know exactly how to add icons to channels. That is not an issue at all. My issue is the second admin server group that I have on my TS server can change the icon when editing channels but when they try to apply it it does not change. I have enabled all the permission necessary to do so but it still does not work. If they are added as a member of the primary admin server group they can change the icons with no issues. Also when the icon does not change it does not give any errors what so ever.
