    Invalid recording device?

Hello, after the last Client Update, I and some other user have the problem with the microphone. We get this teamspeak error "Ungültiges Aufnahme Gerät" (its german because we use the german version) translated "Invalid recording device".

Teamspeak works very good before that client update, but now 4 from 10 users get this error. Using Skype or Teamspeak 2 works fine, its a only Teamspeak 3 client problem.

Have you tried using a different capture device?

The most (me too) have only one capture device. Changing capture mode does not help.

Before the client update no one has problems and we have change nothing on the computers. If you start Skype or Teamspeak 2, this programs have no problems with the recording device. Its only the teamspeak 3 client that has problems.

The reason I suggest this is because with this update they changed the way the "Automatically Use Best Mode" capture setting works. You should have a couple of settings like "Direct Sound", "Windows Multimedia", "Windows Audio Session API"

Seems you does not understand. (device = hardware)
Changing capture setting like "Direct Sound", "Windows Multimedia", "Windows Audio Session API" does not work.

It seems, after the last update teamspeak has problems to use the capture device. It happen not every time, but unfortunately it happen to often to be ignored. If you get this error and then create a new profile the recording device is strikethrough text, but in the main profil recording device is not strikethrough text. By the way OS is Windows XP.

I already told, 4 from 10 users have this problem. That means 6 user have no problem with teamspeak and 4 (me too) have this strange problem.

Well, I revert back to my previous statement... Try and change the capture device for those that have more than 1 option.
