Free Server Bad Connection

Hello everyone,
I am having a problem. I am using a 32 bit laptop and TS3. I am trying to make a server by watching the tutorial you have(Free server) and It doesn't work. I make the server become server admin, and when I'm inactive or not typing, I lose connection and am never able to get back on that server ever again(after just a few seconds!) and I have to be quick to it. Can you help me? And Also when I make the server, for my friends or people to get on, they need my IP adress for the server to come up as well as port? Please HELP! I want my own free server for chatting with my friend in Australia which I'm in NA. We are best friends. TY!

When you say you lose connection do you mean TS kicks you? Do you have any error messages or a client log that might show what is happening?

As for the IP/port you can find your external IP by going to sites like http://whatismyip.com/ and the default ports are

Default voice port (UDP): 9987
Default filetransfer port (TCP): 30033
Default serverquery port (TCP): 10011
