    Solved Ignore Pokes

    the whisper permissions are great
i have it set up so only friends can whisper me

i want to set pokes up the same way
    so my suggestion is this:
add a permission to block pokes from people that you dont have in your contacts.

    thanx

You can already setup your permissions to prevent specific groups/clients from poking other groups or specific clients...

You can only do that if you can modify the permissions.

What he wants is to ignore all pokes from clients that are not in his contacts list.

So it should work the same way the whisper options work. (Settings/Options/Whispers/Whisper Permissions)

Currently you have to add someone to the contacts list to ignore their pokes, so to ignore everyone, I would have to add everyone to my contacts, NOT what I really want to do.

I did read your topic and based on what your explanation was I gave you an answer. I'll leave it to a dev to say yes or no on a permission but my guess is the answer will be no.

A Whisper power is already on Todo, but ignore options are written down into our bugtracker and they haven't discussed yet.

I add this link to my report.

The Ability to turn off Poking in Settings

When someone pokes me its really annoying and it makes my game go into windowed mode. Can you guys make it so we can turn off pokes in the Settings. Now Im not talking about permissions I'm talking about an actual setting I can uncheck.

I have to say I agree.

Pokes can be annoying and the only person who should be able to get around you blocking pokes is the server admin.

    +1 bro. Good suggestion.

    Hello.

    Meanwhile...
Tools --> Contacts --> "Ignore" section --> Check 'Ignore pokes' for this contact
but this is one by one.

    Greetings.

Maybe you do, but I don't have each and every person who comes into a given server on my contacts list. It would be tedious to add so many people you may never interact with again.

IMHO in the "Set Defaults" dialog of "Contacts" Neutral should apply to all users not in the contacts and those set as Neutral in the contacts list.

This change makes since because if you want to exempt a user from the default settings you can do so. Just like unmuteing a blocked contact.
