Android - Widget (Won't work ServerQuery problem)
Hey TS community!
I'm very new to this forum and would welcome any advice on general rules or things that are not seen as very welcome. If I step out of line then I apologise, it wasn't what i intended.
Moving on...
I am looking to use an Android OS app to enhance my experience of TS. It's an app by the name of "Speak to team". The purpose is to tell you if there is anyone on your server at a glance. However at this stage I cannot get it to work.
The main problem is that it's asking for info on ServerQuery. I haven't the slightest idea how to recify the problem. On contacting the app developer he responded with the following message, I'm hoping someone can help me understand this in simple terms of how to solve the problem.

You must be admin of the TS-Server
You have to add an "ServerQuery Login" (look under Extras -> ...)
this "ServerQuery Login" goes to Username/Password in the widget-settings
Server Port & server address are pretty clear
"ServerQuery port" is most 10011

I look forward to your replies.

The server query login info is displayed the first time you run the server. If you rent your server you will most likely not get this info. Strange you need SQ access to do this as sites like gametracker and tsveiwer don't need this to display clients/channels on a server.

I HIGHLY recommend an app called GameserverWidget, the free version has only the ability for 1 widget but the full version is cheap and allows for multiple widgets. I use it on my phone and i love it. it also has support for rcon. But the only issue i have with it is the fact that it has a ping and ping bar that are useless because the app calls to the devs qstat server for the info, which is in germany. But it has a feature that will allow you to set a clan tag scan then a clan tag notification. this will put a notification in the bar. it is very useful to see even quicker as to who is in the server straight from the drop down notifications area.
I urge you to try it out and if you have any more questions just post back here. I will set this to notify me when someone replies
