When you change the value of i_client_max_idletime to -1, then you also have unlimited idle time.

<12:44:33> insufficient group modify power
<12:44:41> insufficient permission modify power
Everytime I try to modify any settings I hear "error".
One other note this just started happening this weekend.I never touched a setting,or modified anything it just started kicking people. It's driving me crazy

Do you have access to server query?
In the server groups what are the group_member_modify_power and the associated needed power?
PM me your server IP/port/password and I'll try and stop in later or tomorrow.

in the group_modify everything is set to value 75/grant 75 except for permission modify power value is -1/grant is 75
I can't change anything in here it keeps saying error.
Note:I am the admin for this TS3
A new problem has now surfaced. It seems that if I am not on the server it does not kick anyone.Once I join the server within 75 seconds (if they remain idle) the server kicks the normals.
One more note...It only happens in the default channel which is the first channel created.
Thanks in advance for your help in this matterLast edited by Fredroc; 22-08-2010 at 22:42.

I could really use some help here with this problem.I am new to all this and I know nothing about this server query thing. All I want to do is keep my guests from getting kicked from the default channel (as far as I know this is the only channel kicking Idle people).I keep getting this error:insufficient permission modify power
Thanks for in advance for the help

Do you have access to server query? I honestly don't know why this is happening to you. PM me your server IP/port/password and I'll stop by tonight.

Hey Poisonpanik,
See heres the thing I own this TS3 and I am the admin.this is my first time running something like this and I thought it would be easy with no hassles.Up until this passed weekend things were going well without any issues.I did nothing to bring this on,I feel if it ain't broke don't mess with it.Which is what i did...left it alone. Now this pass weekend one of my buddies came in and in a minute or so was kicked.over and over he was kicked.I got tired of trying to find a fix in here without any luck and not knowing the server query thing I made that buddy an admin.I did that just to make it stop kicking him. However I don't wnat to,or can't do that for all that come into the server.
Now I see the serverquery thing I click on it.It asks for my name on the server and then gives me a pw.I put that in and...well from there I am lost.I know nothing about this serverquery.I found a youtube video which was moving super fast and did little to explain what he was doing and how to do it.Is thwere documantation that explains all this and how to/what to do in step by step instruction?
As for coming into the server we/I won't be in until this weekend.
Thanks for the help.

I can come join you on the weekend if you'd like.
When you first ran the server you should have gotten a password and a token. That password goes with the username serveradmin. You can use it to run queries from within the client or through a telnet into your server. Since you own the server the easiest fix (assuming you don't have a crazy setup) is to just delete the database and start from scratch.
Delete the file ts3server.sqlitedb and then start your server again and it will be a new server.

Ok two things....One again I am new to this and when I put in my name a pass I click the green arrow and get 0ms in bottom left corner.I do not know what to do after that point.I do not know any commands or what the heck I am doing there without somekind of instruction to go step by step....Second the file that you said to delete is not in my teamspeak3 folder anywhere.I rent this server from darkstarllc.I rebooted the server from their webpage, but thats about all i can from that point.I think i am just going to send them an email an go from there...if all else fails I can still get a refund and move on.

If you are renting then you need to contact your provider on this. They need to remove/reset the idle permission.
