TS3 Fails to Update
I’m been having problems trying to update my TS3 with update version 11315. But every time I do, the download starts fine, and then about at 99% it “stalls” out. After a while, I get this message that pops up:
Can’t overwrite C: ProgramFiles(x86)/Teamspeak3 Client/image formats/qgif4.dll
Do you wish to stop update?
Retry Ignore Abort
TeamSpeak version: 3.0.0-beta11 [Build: 9881])
QT Version 4.6.2
Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium
Soundcard: Realtek Semiconductor Corp
DirectX version Error message: None
How often does the error appear? Every time I try to update TS3 version 11315.
What did you try to fix the problem? I’ve tried closing/reopen it, Uninstall/reinstall. Not sure what else to do. Here’s details of the download attempt:
Stream 1, translations/qt_de.qm._z_ OK
Stream 1 shutting down
Stream 3: Download attempt 2
Stream 3: Download error. Timeout 120 seconds to repeat.

It then stops. When I click on “retry” is says it FAILED to remove file “C: ProgramFiles(x86)/Teamspeak3 Client/image formats/qgif4.dll”.
I click on ignore, it tell me “Wrong length C: ProgramFiles(x86)/Teamspeak3 Client/image formats/qgif4.dll”.
Abort allows me to connect to one of my bookmarks, but I get an error that tells me TS has “It also "fails to capture my voice device".
Please assist. Thank you.

I would export your identity (so you still have all your permissions) and go to the downloads section and download the most current version. Uninstall your version, install the current version and then import your identity

> TeamSpeak version: 3.0.0-beta11
This is really old, it might be the updater in beta11 can't handle the update process
.
Just use one of the downloadable installer packages that you can download from this
website and install it "over" the old beta11 client. If you answer the installers questions
the same as you did when you originally installed it will even keep your settings. You think my answer is stupid ? Read This:

I got the latest and can connect up fine. Just have to wait on the VA to update the server as this version can't work with the version the server has. Is it possible to get Beta 18 build 10609? I seen a fellow VA pilot on our current server with that version.
