Solved Could not open file transfer connection

Hi I have a problem with file uploads and get the following messages :

could not open file transfer connection
    file transfer connection timeout

This is what the log tells :

FileTransfer Error Failed to open filetransfer tcp connection to xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:30033

This is what I've already done :

    • Forward port 30033 to my server on my router

    • Set max bandwidth limits and quota

    • Set the right file transfer permissions to my account

    • Try the admin account

But that messages keep coming up, don't know what to do further to get it work.

    Client version : 3.0.0-beta22[build: 11315]
    Server version : 3.0.0-beta25[Build: 11421]

    Greetings, Marcel....

Make sure you opened as TCP and try this weppage to test your port.
http://www.canyouseeme.org/ (server has to be started before port can be tested).

Thanks for your help, I tested port 30033 and it gave no response, while it was open in my router.
I changed the port to somewhere in the 4000 and now it works.
I think my isp closed a certain port range....... pfff, no swearing

And you are sure it wasn't opened as UDP only or UDP&TCP at the same time?

I've tried all possible combinations on port 30033 : TCP & UDP, TCP only, UDP only, but nothing did work.....
Now I set port 4998 and ik works terribly fine

could not open file transfer connection (/icon_495225700)

    Hi,

I have done everything that I possible can to resolve this issue but nothing.

Myself (Admin and owner of the server) get this when we try to upload new icons into TS3

<04:24:58> could not open file transfer connection (/icon_495225700)

    Can anyone help/explain.

    Thankyou.

P.S I have opened the port 30033 using TCP.

    Where is the server ?
Have you a firewall or antivirus (in your side)?

Server version = file version 1.0.0.0, product version 1,0,0,0
Client version = file version 1.0.0.0, product version 1,0,0,0

Server is based from my computer using DynDNS.com

I do have a firewall and antivirus (AVG free).

I opened port 30033 myself as an extra via window firewall.

Try to shutdown your firewall and/or your windows firewall. (did this, still have the same problem)

Try to shutdown you anti-virus (you can't kill the process, so start your computer without avg) (did this, still have the same problem)

    can be viewed here http://yfrog.com/47permissionsp

This will show u the permission

    Thanku

PS, not sure where to find the beta version

Someone said it could be my server provider

well, most likely modem/router portforward configuration, or firewall/antivirus settings on a pc.

Solved Could not open file transfer connection (/ icon_195220378)

    help me
TS3 my server can not send custom icons for the TS3 client, the following error appears: Could not open file transfer connection (/ icon_195220378)
I've opened the ports: TCP 10011 and 30033 on the router and windows firewall.
    TS server is installed in the folder: (C: \ ts3server \ teamspeak3-server_win32)
    What else should I do?

Did you move the server database from one location to another and forget to move the folders and other files? If so just delete the icons that are not showing and re-upload them.

Also, you can double check that the ip the router is forwarding those ports to is still accurate, most likely is if the Voice UDP port is working unless there was a typo when updating the port forwarding rules.
