Sorting names in channels
Hey folks,
How can I change the order in which people are listed in a channel? It looks like it's sorted alphabetically right now. How can I switch it to sort by group?

Hi everyone,
I'm going nuts here
On our old teamspeak server we had many groups, each were set its own talk power so that clients were ordered by rank in their channels. It worked fine. However we had to migrate to a new server today, so I recreated all the old groups and set the talk power for each one, once more. This time however it simply is not working at all and I have ran out of ideas. I have checked and double checked and the new groups have their talk power value set proper just like before, but in the channels they seem to be ordered alphabetically no matter what I do.
What reason would there be for talk power to be ignored, or over-ridden?
Server version : 3.0.6.1 (29/06/2012 08:59:05) on Linux
I have poked around for 2 hours now and a friend aswell, we are stumped.
Can anyone help? Any further information required I will be happy to provide.
Thanks in advance

I assume they all have the same channel group (most likely guest) and that in the channel group you also have a talk power set. In this case the channel group talk power will override whatever talk power they get from the server group leading to them all having the same talk power and thus being ordered alphabetically.
You can also use the permission overview to track where each permission and the end value comes from. Just right click the client you are interested in and go to permissions -> permission overview in the context menu.

I have tags that have different permissions, and one of my friend has a tag that has permissions just below me but he's above me in teamspeak, how can I order it so people with certain tags go above people with other tags?

Q: is there a way to add display order for server groups within channels.
Sorry if this question has been asked before, my googlefoo has failed me on this.
--
So I am fairly new to hosting, and running a ts server. I am currently searching for a way to organize and sort server groups display order within channels. For example:
{Channel Name}
[Leader]
[Officer]
[Member]
[Guest]
Hopefully someone can help ^^ thanks!

You have to organize the server groups to give the user the desired "talk power" in the permission i_client_talk_power

How to sort groups in Teamspeak tree?
Hello
I know there is a ton of people who have already asked this question, but all of the links that shows how to do it, is older versions of teamspeak.
I want my clients to be sorted by obviously "Admins > Clan Members > Guests", in the tree itself.
How to do that?
I've seen links like these ; http://forum.teamspeak.com/showthrea...sort-my-groups
But like I said before; Older version of teamspeak.
Please help!

And to select the advanced permission system:
Settings ---> Options --> Application --> "Misc" section --> Activate "Advanced permission system" --> Button "Accept"

Listing of Players in the server
Hello, i am a channel admin in a server. I would like to ask how to change the settings in order to have the channel admin appear first in each room, then the leaders, then the councils and then the rest of the players?
Thanks in advance

Probably you have to select the advanced permission system:
Settings ---> Options --> Application --> "Misc" section --> Activate "Advanced permission system" --> Button "Accept"
In every permission tab, select "see by name", search for "talk" and the permission will appear.
