Default Login Channel

Hello There,

I would like to know if its possible to set a default login channel for a spcific group or specific user?


Let's first assume "Lobby" is the default channel when a user connects to the server

let's say we also have a second channel called "Channel 2"

We also have 1 special group, let's call it "GroupA"

So when any user not part of "GroupA" connects to the server he appears in "Lobby" since it's the default channel for everyone..

What if I want people from "GroupA" to appear in "Channel2" when they connect to the server, "Channel2" would then become default channel(on login) for user from "GroupA"


Is that possible?

You can set a 'Default Channel' for first-time clients on your server. After that, they can specify their own default channel in their bookmarks. You cannot change default channels for specific groups using the permission system.

If you aren't aware: Add your server to your bookmarks. In the TS3 client, click Bookmarks > Manage Bookmarks. Click on your server and then click 'More' at the bottom. There, you'll see 'Default Channel'. What you can do is go to the channel you want to be your default channel and click 'Make current default'. Also, tell your mates about this and they can set their own default channel.

Such a feature has been requested before and it won't be included by the developers.
I am sure a bot is able to move the user from there groups into a special channel. But what happens, when a user has 2 of thoose server groups?
