Android is a Linux System, so I think you shouldn't need a special "portable" version.

TS3 will be out on android soon.
I am Co-Founder/CEO of MobiObie online,LLC and MobiObie Studios,LLC.
We want to do a TS3 Admin & User App for the Google Android & Palm WebOS platforms. We want to work with TeamSpeak on this so that the users can have the same great experience the have come to expect on their PC's from TS, They have in the palm of there hands on their Android or Palm WebOS smart phone.
*This has not been set in stone and we *currently* are not working with TS. Although, We soon hope we have the opportunity to work with the great TeamSpeak Staff.
Best Regards,
Dallas Singletary

Monitoring App
hey,
i recently put a app in the store where you can at least monitor onlinestatus, delay and current users. the information will be visible on your phones dektop.
see: http://duschkumpane.org
i have some experience in VoIP development but i think I do not have enought time to implement voice as well. Would be really cool thought. If there is a kind of Java API that i can include this would be possible in about a 1-2 days. I alreay managed to get native speex running on android. This is a requirement, because of the missing JustInTime compliler on android <2.2. I also know how to stream voice an android. But my inside knowledge on TS3 is little as nothing because i work on a different project.
perhaps someone with ts3 experience wants to work with me on that...
regards,
michael

I'm willing to help with coding. I'm am not very versed in programing specifically for android, but I do know java fairly well. I can probably learn how to easily, they have more than enough documentation.
Having a TS3 Administration app for android would be awesome. I would like to direct everyones attention to the Java Query Library that was created by a fellow user.

If you do get involved in this. Keep the client free, full feature free, not limited feature free. If your not willing to do that I hope that TS3 staff does not work with you and waits for a team willing to make a free version or they get to it in their own time after release final versions of PC releases.

[SUGGESTION] Teamspeak 3 for Android
I think it would be really neat to have a Teamspeak client that will connect to a server from your Droid phone.
