Hearing all channels, viewing member listing in other channels-

Alright, I checked the FAQ and didn't come across the particular answers to these 3 questions. Or maybe I did and didn't realize it. I run a small server off my own comp, am always logged as admin, and currently have 3 channels set up: default for new joiners and 2 different clan channels. Here's what I'm looking for-

1- How can I hear what is going on in all channels regardless of the channel I am in?

2- Lets say I am in channel A and I have 2 members in channel B. When I am in channel A, and click on channel B, it does not show any users inside (0/8). But- when I join that channel it will show (3/8).

3- I wanted a way for me to speak to the channels seperately regardless of my channel location, so I made a keybind with the "whisper to channel soandso" function. But when I use the key, the people in the selected channel can't hear me? and yah, I'm holding it down to transmit.

Sorry if these are n00b questions, but help is appreciated. Thanks.

Here we go ,

1. You cant - its been discussed as a feature, but was then dropped (too big intrusion to the privacy of channels)

2. This is the fact only on servers that are in public mode - you cant see howmany people are in other channels than your own on those servers. Maybe the client should display ?/8 players (i think i suggested that on mantis once).

3. public mode again is the culprit. You cannot whisper to people you cant see - and on public-mode-servers you dont see people that arent in your channel.

Alright that solves my simple questions. I'll switch it over to clan and see what I can get going, thanks for the info.

Thank you thank you thank you. I've been waiting for an answer to the whisper 'problem' for months. When I get home tonight I will switch the server to clan only mode.
