TeamSpeak 3 Server 3.0.0-beta28 Available

Hello world,

we just released the TeamSpeak 3 Server beta-28. The change that will probably be noticed the most is the minimum client version is now beta-26. Although client beta-26 was released almost a month ago, there are still many older clients out "in the wild", especially with version beta-22. The reason for this is the auto-update process of beta-22 contained a bug that could lead to updates failing. Clients affected by this bug need to download a recent client from our downloads page and reinstall - client settings are not overwritten and will not be destroyed.

Apart from this a handful of fixes are included, two of which fix problems that result in clients terminating the connection to the server.

  to the server with multiple cloned clients and changed your avatar

Sorry but to me this is a crap fix. Now, servers that are empty with reserved slots show as not empty. Not implemented at all close to how I suggested in the bug report for that.

But, let me add, I'm very glad to get the no nick exploit and Clone/avatar change bug fixes. Good work on those. Removed those vulnerabilities from my servers.

I updated and between a hour or so the server just closes its self..

Checked the logs and this is what comes up.

the virtual server are running but when i connect the client say old server version.

Your servers are not correctly bind on ports.
Verify that those ports are not used and try to stop all the instances (process) and restart them.

Hello,

i have a teamspeak server running on a dedicated server opensuse 11.2 x64
the first server i installed over putty and the next server i have created with the webinterface from Psychokiller.
i have the problem, that i cant update the server to beta28.
if i stop the server in putty, the 2 server still run.
if i stop the servers in the webinterface and then stop the server in putty, and will update, then start the servers in putty, start them in the webinterface, they are still beta 27.

what shall i do?

How many users are on that server?

I run 10 servers with 32 slots each but I got I got alot of clients ID numbers cause its over 2000 now xD
