Is GSM a lost cause for TeamSpeak 3?
Is adding the GSM codec even being considered or is this a lost cause?
It's what cellphones use and we all use those so obviously it sounds just fine lol
I understand you might want other codecs that can do a larger spectrum for hearing music, but many of us use it for gaming so we only need to hear human voices. GSM is smaller and sounds like a phonecall. Been checking back here every couple months hoping to see if i should bother downloading TS3 again, it is an awesome program and many people aren't moving to it only because of the GSM codec not being available. Do you have to license it or something? Or it costs you money to use it? I just want to understand your reasoning. Thanks again for the awesome software

This is the first I've heard of this and I highly doubt that people are refraining from switching to TS3 because it does not contain the GSM codec.

Many of the people using it say they cant understand others or the voice sounds digitized like the harmonics are all over the spectrum. Speex also uses more bandwidth to reach near the clarity of GSM, I have been fiddling with TS3 since it first came out and love all the options, GSM is the only reason anyone would stay with TS2 because TS3 is far superior.

Obviously you've got a setting wrong somewhere because TS3 sounds way better than even the best cell phone call. If you're having audio issues try adjusting your codec, quality, and latency.

Well many people say they like the sound quality better with speex.
my question was "is a gsm codec ever going to be inserted into TS3?"
or is it out of the question? and i tried it with all the codec and setting variation, by default setup it should have worked fine like it did for many others.
I could set it at max everything and it still sounds a bit robotic and others cant understand some other people, it seems very random. thanks again and good luck
