[Info] Parameters of a virtual server

TS3Client => Tools => Edit Virtual Server

When you click "More" button you get several settings tab. Here is the list and some informations that will help you to understand these parameters.

Client 3.0.0 & 3.0.1

Host Tab :

Host Message part

- Message : A kind of second welcome message to be displaying before the welcome message.
- Message Mode

• None -> No message
• LOG -> Only in the server chat tab
• MODAL -> In the server chat tab and in new window (displays on the connection)
• MODAL & QUIT -> Displays the message in new window and closes the server connection

Host Banner Part

- URL : Web address linked to the banner (for an click)
- Gfx URL : The banner address
- Gfx Interval : Refresh the banner evry x seconds (60 min)
- Resize : To resize the banner according the allowed size from the client.

Host Button Part

- Tooltip : Little information (on mouse over the icon)
- URL : Web address linked to the button
- Icon URL : To set an custom button


Transfers Tab :

Upload Part

- Bandwidth Limit : Bandwidth used to uploads (-1 -> all bandwidth)
- Upload Quota : Size Limit for upload allowed (-1 unlimited)

Download Part

- Bandwidth Limit : Bandwidth used to downloadds (-1 -> all bandwidth)
- Upload Quota : Size Limit for downloads allowed (-1 unlimited)


Anti-Flood Tab :

- Reduced Points per tick : Point assigned to each flood actions.
- Point Needed Warning : The server send you an alert message
- Point Needed Kick : The server kick the flooder and leaves he connect after some seconds.
- Points Needed Ban : The server ban the flooder (Ban Time) seconds.


Security Tab :

- Security level : You have all informations in this tab.

- Channel voice data encryptation :
You must have the "b_virtualserver_modify_codec_encryptation_mod e" permission to change this

• Configure per channel -> Let you activate or deactivate for each channel (in the channel configuration window)
• Global Off -> No channel can use the voice encryptation
• Global On -> All channels can use the voice encryptation

If you choose "Configure per channel", you must have the "b_channel_modify_make_codec_encrypted" permission, to check or uncheck this option.


Misc Tab :

Defaults Groups part

The default group will assigned by the server to all new user and if it's not registered in any other group (note these groups should not be permanent except for the Channel Admin group).

Complain Part

Set the number of complaints to get before being banned from the server. (Once this number is reached, the list of complaints for the affected user is cleared and the rule of banishment is created)

Other options

- Min client in channel before silence :
Max authorized users in a channel before turning off the sound of this channel.

- Enable reporting to server list
Activate/Deactivate the presence of your serveur on the Web List Server

This parameter is also used to whisper. If the number of user in a channel is equal or greater than this parameter, you hear "Too many target" if you try to whisp the channel.

- Priority speaker dimm modificator :
This is the decibel attenuation of all people in a channel when an Priority speak talk in the channel.

- Enable reporting to server list
Activate/Deactivate the presence of your serveur on the Web List Server


Log Tab :

Choose what actions, in your virtual server, will be recorded in the logs.
