Solved [No Bug] Long multiline chat messages crash TS3 client

    TS3 client beta 31 (Windows 7 - 64 bit) on a TS3 server beta 29 (Linux 64 bit)

If a telnet client (serveradmin account) sends a private chat message with more than 820 characters in approx. 35 lines to a TS3 client, the TS3 client simply crash. No informations will be written into the TS3 client log file.

If this is not easy to reproduce, I can save the chat message into a file.

Related to the public_definitions.h of the plugin SDK it seems 1024 is the limit. But like you said, the TS3 client should not crash in this case .

See on the Settings => Options => Chat => Maximum Lines in Chat Window.

I seriously think that the bug comes from here.

Thats just a setting for the chat history which should be saved (and is set to 500 here).

Of course I don't know which part of the TS3 client source code produce this crash .

Exactly, but if the buffer can save in one shot the entire message (500 lines).

This but disappears if I change this parameter to 700 and if I send 699 lines in query.

Tested on Client BETA-32 version on server Beta-29 and Beta-pre 30
