I´m looking for a channel like app_rpt that integrate the TeamSpeak conferences with Asterisk meetme. I think it would be a cool idea call with IP-phone or with a softphone and speak with different systems.

Thanks a lot for your time

From what research I have done it could only be done through some kind of "virtual audio device", which unfortunately does not exist for Linux.
I had high hopes on the new SDK, but they offer absolutely no way to get to the audio stream. As they use Speex, getting to th eaudio data would allow us to build that gateway.

I really think the time is ripe for this and am willing to contribute a great deal.
If anybody finds a way to do this, please get in touch with me : poktomi at gmail . com.

There is one sw-client which support IAX, checkout http://gnophone.com.

    Hi Peter,

you seem to be barking up the same tree as me. Please read the thread
Streaming to a TS channel on server to see how far (or not) I have got so far.
I will definitely proceed with this, as I know it to be possible (see Phonecaster -> Teamspeak tab. In fact I know that the guy (tosti) who implemented this used Asterisk for the PSTN dial-in. Even though this is only half the job (the other half being sending/talking from TS to PSTN/SIP), it shows/proves it can be done.

If you're interested in collaborating, please get in touch with me at email: poktomi at gmail dot com or reply to this post.

    Cheers,

Thumbs up +1 On Asterisk support for TeamSpeak please.

    Hi,

Make that +1 for wanting Asterisk support for teamspeak.

We have run Asterisk here for many years and find it perfect for %99.999999 of our needs.

The only reason we need to run other formats is because people are too pig headed to move away from the pear group pressure of what their friends are running.

For example we have a perfectly good conference bridge running on our Asterisk box for gamers to chat on. It supports PSTN dial in, SIP, & IAX2 for softphones, And even access via Ham & CB radio.

However the people playing Minecraft keep complaining that they want a teamspeak server on the box for them to chat on.

I did have a quick look in portage (Gentoo Linux package manager) for this but it seems it's been masked due to security vulnerability issues.

Skype is another thing we are asked for from time to time also.

Look forward to seeing a teamspeak module / plugin for Asterisk.

    .-.-.
