    My mic doesn't work...how can i do?

hi everyone, it's the first time for me here.
I've got a problem with the latest version of ts2 under my slackware 9 linux.
I'v got an Hercules fortissimo 3 7.1 soundcard and the drivers OSS.I can hear everything, mp3 games etc., but i can't use the mic in ts2.In ts2 i can hear other people but i can't activate my mic. Permissions on my audio device are all ok and my mic too 'cause on win xp it works well.
In ts2 i've setted like drivers OSS /dev/dsp.
How can i use my mic?Help me please

    Kiss from italy

    Question Recording source?

Have you tried selecting the microphone as recording source ?

For me that's the only way to not hear myself talk over my own headphone.

Then try to look in KMix Settings if your mic input / or 20db boost is activated.

in the loopback test also i can see the led green but i can't hear my voice go back to me

I've noticed one thing....when i am connected to a server(and i can hear others people) if i open the "local connection info" window, and if i try to talk in the mic, i see that kbytes in out increase ......so i send my voice 'cause i send bytes but others can't hear me too
