Surround Sound Cutting Out

Hi
I seem to be having a very peculiar issue with my new Tritton AX 51 Pro 5.1 headset and TS3.
Whenever I join I server, the surround sound cuts out leaving only the front speaker working.
This includes both the sides and the sub.
This happens when I join a server, NOT when I start up the client.

As I said before I am using:
Tritton AX 51 Pro 5.1 Headset
Omega Striker 7.1 Soundcard
Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
Teamspeak 3 64 bit client

My guess is that it's a conflict with the soundcard and TS3 but I don't know what that would be.
When I shut down teamspeak the surround sound comes back.
But oddly, when I just disconnect from the server and leave the client running, the surround sound does NOT return until I close the client.

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

I have a similar problem with my Logitech G35 7.1 Surround Sound headset. The difference is that I'm not getting the center channel with 3D sound in TS drops, I'm getting nothing. I can see the lights activate that tell me people are talking, and they can hear me, but I get no sound.

The other issue I'm having is that if I create profiles to switch back and forth between my G35 and my Z5300 surround sound desktop speakers, it will cause my sound to crash. And I don't even have to use the profile! It just has to be there in TS and it will cause the sound driver in-game to crash.
