    Changing server port does not work

    Hi @all

    i have a little problem with my ts3 installation. I'd like to change the standard ports but it just ignores my inputs in the ts3server.ini!

    what I did:
    1. create a ts3server.ini
    2. changed startscript parameter: OMMANDLINE_PARAMETERS="inifile=ts3server.ini"
    3. changed ports in the ts3server.ini:
    machine_id=
    default_voice_port=8000
    voice_ip=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
    licensepath=
    filetransfer_port=8001
    filetransfer_ip=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
    query_port=8002
    query_ip=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
    dbplugin=ts3db_sqlite3
    dbpluginparameter=
    dbsqlpath=sql/
    dbsqlcreatepath=create_sqlite/
    logpath=logs
    logquerycommands=1
    The IP's are of course only placeholders but if I put wrong IP's in there the server wont start, which means that the ini-file is somehow working

    The problem is now, that my server still runs on 9978.

    I hope somebody can help, I really hate standard ports

    Ah btw. I'm running Ubuntu Server 10.04

    Have you tried to change the Port directly in the Database or with an WebInterface?

    Default port is only used the first time you started TS3 server. Now that you have the server running on 9987 changing voice port in the INI has no impact on that server. You need to use the query port and edit the existing server.

    ok thx guy's I didn't know that this is possible. In every tut i've seen so far, they change it in the server ini.
