[TS3 Server] Won't listen on Port 9987
I'm running this server on my pc from last 1 month + but suddenly from yesterday it stopped listening on port 9987 for WAN incoming connections. I can connect to it from LAN.
Log:

When I test the ts3 port at CanYouSeeMe.org, I get this all the time:
Error: I could not see your service on 182.177.42.78 on port (9987)
Reason: Connection timed out
I have all the ports forwarded in my router as well.
Please help me out.
Regards~

I can't ping or conenct your DNS address. And you are sure, that nothing has changed in your LAN? Maybe the DHCP service changed your IP. This can cause problems, when port 9987 UDP is forwarded to an old address.

I'm on Win7 x64 Ultimate, I'm using manual LAN Adapter Settings so I don't think DHCP will do anything here. My LAN IP is static which is 192.168.1.2
If i check Active Connections in my COMODO CIS, I have this:
See Attachment #1 - ts3.png
& no, I have changed nothing in CIS or my networking settings. Windows Firewall is disabled & so is Windows DEP.

Hello
With wich address : 12.0.0.1 or 192.168.1.2 or both

Please open the command prompt. Press Win + R > enter cmd > type netstat -a. now your server port should appear un der UDP.
Have you tryed another port?---------------------------------------------------------

I have the EXACT same problem as this one. Is it possible to revive this thread?
Summary: can connect to localhost and 192.168.0.101 but others cannot.
This is what I see in netstat -a
UDP 0.0.0.0:9987 *:*
Tried other ports too.

192.168.*.* is a LOCAL Address which is only valid in your own Network.
Others need to use your public IP to connect. Also need to port forward the relevant ports (most notably UDP 9987).

Thanks for the reply. I am aware of the fact that 192.. etc is a local adress but it was stated that if the local connection worked, the server should be listening to 9987.
The problem most likely lies in forwarding port 9987. Ofc this is what i did, i am familair to this proces. But even tho i forwared, my friends cannot connect to my public ip.

The server listens to port 9987. You said that on post #8
This is a network and not a server problem.
Now shutdown all your firewalls and try (only for testing / remove if afterwards) set yourself as DMZ in your router.---------------------------------------------------------

Yes it is listening to port 9987 indeed.
So i should shut down Win7's firewall for testing?
I do not know what a DMZ is tho..
//Edit:
What does it mean that the netstat -a command tells me this:
UDP 0.0.0.0:9987 *:*Last edited by Bauglir; 31-07-2012 at 08:58.

Please enter your routers Name + dmz into google or read the manuall of your router.
Demilitarized Zone disables every protection for one ip in your network.---------------------------------------------------------
