Can i sort my groups?

Hello, i have problem with group position. I created VIP group with same permissions like guest group but i changed "skip channel password". Now if i grant sb VIP, i see him under all groups on channel (Server admin, channel admin, guest). I would like to change it, and move guest group under VIP group. Can you give me any suggestion what permission is it ?Sorry for my poor english.

Do you mean the sort order in channel tree or right-click menu?
To change the order, you need to change the value of i_client_talk_power.
To change the menu order, you have to set the permission i_group_sort_id into the group.

I am setting up a new ts3 server and I created two new groups. I would like to have the server sort one group before the other but I am not sure how to do this. If someone could help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

In ServerGropus search i_group_sort_id, and set the value= 1 or 2 or 3 or ... , for every group.

If you talk about the user sort in the channel tree, use the Talk power.
If you talk about the icon sort, use the Jordi's info.

Hello

You can't change the group ID.
But you can use the i_group_sort_id permission.

How it work :
Set the ID what you want. If not set or set to zero, the group ID is considered for sorting.

Ok, I figured out how to sort the groups in the context menus, but what am I doing wrong that they won't sort in the tree? any advice is greatly appreciated!

Are you 100% positive that there is no other permission (client, channel, etc)
To make sure check the b_client_skip_channelgroup_permission in these server groups.

Thank you florian. That did seem to do the trick, but by doing that does it mess up channel admin permissions? I guess I don't fully understand that flag and what it means by checking it.
