Yet another "Failed to Connect to server" winXP
I know there is alot of threads about this problem, but mine seems to be rather special after looking through serval threads.
Everytime I try to connect to my guilds teamspeak3 server I get the "Failed to connect to server" error.
and when I try to use the "original" ip I get the same errorCode:<22:23:50> Trying to resolve hostname toxic.guildts.com <22:23:50> Trying to connect to server on toxic.guildts.com:6836 <22:23:56> Failed to connect to server
I have tried everything.Code:<22:34:00> Trying to connect to server on 89.149.194.230:6836 <22:34:05> Failed to connect to server
- Reinstalled + redownloaded TS3
- Used CCleaner to remove everything that has to do with TS3 on my PC.
- Turned off the Firewall + added TS3 to the exception list.
- Turned off my antivirus programs.
- Used the support from the hosting company in hope for help, sadly they did not know a solution to this.
However, I can connect to other servers and I can connect from my laptop but not on my stationary. There do not seem to be any problems with the server since there is constantly people on it, the problem is only from my side and it is driving me nuts, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
edit:
I also tried to ping, but I did not get an response.Last edited by Kronblom; 01-05-2011 at 22:47.

Hello
I can't with the IP but I can with the domain name.
Sounds like the IP was changed and this information was not completly deployed yet.

Well, I do not reach the server either on the IP or the domain name, however I can connect with my laptop which is strange. Tried to find what it can be that blocks me from connecting from my PC but I have no clue of what it can be.

Ok, after serval of hours searching I finally found the answer, apparently it was malwarebytes anti-malware that blocked the IP. So if anyone may experience the same issue and is using malwarebytes, please rightclick on the malwarebytes tray icon and check if there is an ip in the "Put in ignorelist".
