TS3 lowers volume of other application
Hi everybody,
since the last major update of the ts3 client, i have the problem
that when i am in teamspeak while i am playing Cs:Source an i use
my ingame voice, the complete teamspeak lowers his volume.
I've tested if this does relate to the hotkey that i use ingame tu use voice,
but if a change the ingame hotkey the same problem appears.
The only solution to rebuild the normal volume is to close teamspeak and
open it again.
I hope s.o. can help me with this.
Regards
Vannelle

When voice is coming in, other sound is quieted
I am using two channels audio channels, one in my headset which is set to get sound from people's voices in Team Speak 3, and another channel which is plugged into my speaker system which usually plays music.
When people are not talking/have not been talking for about 3 seconds the speaker system is at normal volume.
But then when people say something, it is silenced a lot, so I can barely hear it. Turning up the volume will make it blast too loud, and it is currently not usable this way...
What could I change to fix this?
The speakers are hooked up to a small head unit, with an aux splitter, so the computer reads it as headphones if that helps...but the headset is a USB headset.
Please help!!!

Teamspeak keeps lowering it's volume in mixer
I keep having troubles hearing people in TS, I recently noticed that the volume was down in my mixer. I put it back up and I could hear everyone fine. Later that day I couldn't hear anyone again and I noticed that once again TS was down in the volume mixer. This is reoccurring it keeps going back down and I'm not sure why? Is there an option for automatic volume control that I can turn off or something?

TS3 taking priority over other sounds.
When I am playing Battlefield Bad Company 2 and someone starts talking, my sound in game drops significantly. A few seconds after they stop talking, my in game sound resumes to normal levels.
OS:Win7 64-bit
Sound card: Realtek HD on board sound
I had the same problem with my last PC and the fixes were:
Windows
1. Sound options > Recording > Double click on the enable microphone > Advanced Settings > Un-tick "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device".
2. Sound options > Communications > When windows detects communications activity: Do Nothing.
TS3
Settings > Plugins > Un-tick Volume Control.
I also downloaded the following driver http://www.realtek.com/downloads/dow...&GetDown=false (the first on the list) before applying the above changes.
These fixes are not working on my new PC... anyone know a way round this problem?

FIX! Problem with sound in games lowering using TS3
After hours of trying everything to fix the keystroke that lowered the volume of any game and not lowering TS I found the fix for me, real simple in fact. Before getting to that let me also address that while using TS, when others would press a key to talk it lowered my game volume, windows application volume as well. This was seen by bringing up the volume mixer and watching what happened and when.
The fix is this, run the Team Speak wizard found under settings/setup wizard-proceed to run it until you get to the 6th page -Plugins, UNCHECK "enable volume control. That's it! What this does I believe, leaves it up to you to adjust volumes in every application you use. Now I have full volume in all games when using Team Speak 3. I hope this helps.

Sounds like the "Volume Control Plugin".

Just deactivate it or configure to winamp-only solution.
