    Host Server Location

I have a quick question that I hope isn't too stupid. I plan on renting a Teamspeak 3 server. The thing is I will be living in LA while the majority of my friends live all over Texas.

So basically how important is the location of the host in this situation? Would it be better to rent a server hosted in LA or say Houston? Or will the difference be too insignificant to even worry about?

    Thanks for any help

You can check the ping between you and a server in Houston. I don't think that the distance is to far for TS3, but I don't know the Internet routing speed in US.
