[On Todo 3.1?] Allow users to set "important" sounds
I personally do not like to hear chat sounds when I mute but if I disable "play important sounds" I will no longer hear pokes or disconnect notices.
It would be awesome if I could toggle a sound as "important" or not via a context menu or check box.
The way I envision it would not even require changing the sound pack configs as the setting would effect that same notification in all sound packs.
Thanks

Sounds like a good idea to me, maybe after the 3.0 final?

Yeah, sounds like a good idea

Added as a 3.1 Feature request (does not mean, that it will be implemented after our final release).

Is there anyway to get this feature implemented sooner than was previously decided?
I only ask because there is an increased number of users who can not or do not want to talk but instead type in chat to communicate.
I would like to disable chat sounds when I have the speakers muted. Then resume hearing the sounds when I unmute. Moving to different channel would be a suitable option if I could do so without disturbing the other users. I could change the sound pack every time but that is either a separate hot key I have to press or I have to click "Self" mouse over to "Sound Pack" and select the pack I want every time.
