Range IP ban
Hello,
sorry for my bad English but i try to explain my problem:
I want to ban some person permanently. So ich used google and found this Thread:
http://forum.teamspeak.com/showthrea...ng-by-ip-range!
I tried all examples but nothing helps. So i contact my server hoster but i also didnt know.
Did Teamspeak.com anything change in the ban system? Can anyone give me an example which things i have to swicht on? (Wildcard, regular expression, fixed string; which one i have to use? see bottom)
Take the example IP: 80.12.34.56
Range ban it: 80.12.xx.xx / 80.12.x.x
Is it right?:
Wildcard: ban "range" Nicknames like "Ass-test" and "Ass-text2" -> Ass*
Fixed String: "Ass-test"-> Ass-test (its only Ass-test not Ass-test2)
Regular expression: range ip bans?
Greetings!

Ohh Sorry.
Thats the range ban Syntax?:
69.61.(([0-9][0-9])|(1[0-1][0-9])|(12[0-7]))\..*
With my example: 80.12.34.56
the right syntax:
IP: 80.12.(([0-9][0-9])|(1[0-1][0-9])|(12[0-7]))\..*
IP/Name interpret as: Regular expression
Doesnt Work! Can anyone do some screenshot with the right Syntax and Buttons to use?
I use TS3 Server Version: 3.0.1 (Linux)

In this case it's more simple.
Just add rule for this : 80.12.*.* and select Wilcard for the interpret field.
Please next time, take a time to think about these examples instead simple copy/paste.

I believe I got that list. Just look around one of the public servers. It is in there, since I got it from there.
(right now those servers are down.)

You could use a ProxyFinder and ban all of them.
This would be a long long List..

Banning a Proxy Troll
Good Evening,
I am facing problems with a user I want banned permanently from my server. Banning his network and his UIDs won't work because he circumvents these bans by either connecting via proxy servers or creating new IDs.
The problem is that I am not quite willing to introduce whitelisting (connection in general or voice permission) or passwords on my server, because it has always been open to new users (a gaming community hosting several counter strike pub servers).
I know that I can't both host an open server and maintain full control of who is or isn't allowed to connect, but is there a compromise to somehow fortify the server against certain douchebags like the guy described above?
Do you have any suggestions for that scenario?
best regards,
Uzala

There's tons of tools to do this work, you just have to look outside the TeamSpeak.

Hi guys.
Can some please confirm for me that this will ban the entire range of ips from 78.146.0.0 to 78.146.999.999
I know this is a wide range of IPs to ban but we have a griefer who keeps coming back after he is banned so i figured if i ban his IP range and add his name to the ban then it will only ban him and other users from the same IP range can still connect. Is that correct.Code:78.146.(([0-9])|(99[0-9])).(([0-9])|(99[0-9]))
Thanks

Please ban 78.146.* in your case.
The Maximal range for an ip is 255.255.255.255 and ".*" bans all numbers.---------------------------------------------------------
Please don't send me private support questions.
They belong into the forum and maybe other users have these questions/problems too.
