Question and Suggestion
I just recently started using a large TS2 server and noticed that while there is no activity in the channel I am in (Talking or moving about)or any activity on the server ( People Moving about) my network connection is still sending and recieving data from the TS server..
Can you tell me what it is sending and why?
My suggestion is assuming that the answer to the question is that it is keeping track of the users on the TS server and sending the data to the client.
Suggestion.
Can you create an option or make it standard to only view who is in your current channel or subchannel.. It could also be usefull if your server has subchannels setup so that you can view only who is in your current chanel and subs but nothing other than other channel names outside of your current channel. And only keep track of users in another channel if that channel is opened. No other player info should be sent to a client if he/she is not in or viewing that channel. Unless they chose to do so. This could help some lag issues people who are on less than cable or Dsl connections have..
It is also a pain to view the people in the channel that I am in if people keep joining and leaving other channels. I have to keep scrolling back down to the channel I am in.

you could see the server-manual, where you find the difference between clan and public mode of a server...
public: you only get information about people in your own channel
clan: you see everyone.
this can be changed via web-interface.
the issue about that join and focus stuff is what niels wants to fix in one of the future verisions...
