My mic works, just not with teamspeak ...
How to fix this:
1) shut down TS3
2) plug in your mic
3) start up TS3
4) go to settings -> set capture mode to direct sound -> set input device to your mic
5) connect
6) now everything works
if you start TS3 with your mic unplugged the direct sound mode will not show up
Problem:
I think I've tried pretty much everything.
My mic works in skype, vent and mumble.
It is set up correctly in windows.
All my volume settings are maxed.
TS3 just acts like my mic is totally silent.
It doesn't say I don't have a mic or anything, it just doesn't do anything.
Tried using push to talk, constant stream and voice recognition.
Tried setting the audio device to standard and Microphone (Realtek High Defenition Audio)
Nothing works ...Last edited by Yeodan; 10-08-2011 at 12:39.

After trying to get this thing to work for a few hours and googling for solutions a few more hours, I still havn't found anything that helps.
It actually seems like TS3 just does nothing when I press the push to talk button or when I talk.
I click the begin test button and a blue circle appears.
Should it change color when I press the push to talk button or when I start talking?
It just does nothing ...

This is actually the same exact issue I'm having. It just doesn't make any sense. My mic works fine in windows, and it even works fine in Teamspeak on my laptop. But for some reason, when I'm on my desktop, I can't do anything. The blue orb doesn't light up ever. Even when I'm on "Continuous Transmission"

Not me. I've had TS for a few years now. I just updated it one day and it hit the crapper. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it about 3 times now. No luck

same thing here i had to find all hidden ts files and get rid of them to make sure for when I installed it that it wasnt the same crappy file. so this means since a bunch of people that have installed it recently since last update are getting this file with something corrupted in it. So this means they will have to undo this mess ;-)

well what i did was uninstall TS3 in your program menu if you open the folder it has an uninstall option once uninstalled restart your computer, then in your start menu you will see search, i typed in TS and search for them. then deleted the folders. then i went back to type in teamspeak and did the same thing. But I reinstalled it again and same problem was there, that I could not use my mic in any of the functions as in push to talk, voice activate, continuous. :-(
Im running windows Vista, 32 bit

still having this problem ...
there are 3+ topics about this on the first page of this forum
and none of them have a solution in them ...
a lot of ppl seem to be having this problem, yet no one knows what it is or how to fix it
I NEED a solution for this!!
Hello? Anyone?
I need TS3!!!
When I press my push-to-talk button, the blue light is supposed to light up, but it doesn't. I can't talk ...
I've seen a lot of ppl with the same problem and I'm pretty sure it's a bug in TS3.
My mic works fine with other programs. I've basically tried every setting possible, tried reinstalling my sound drivers, changing mic settings on my computer, ...
Also completely removed TS3 and reinstalled, doesn't work either ...Last edited by dante696; 08-08-2011 at 13:16.

no blue light - cant speak in TS3 but in other programs
HI,
I spent many hours on solving this problem, but I didn't found a solution.
When I want to speak in TS3, there's no light coming up, nobody can hear me.. tried with PTT, voice activation and permant... no light when conneted to the server, no light in the test-function. Micro works perfectly in other programs. I've choosen the right sounddevice in the menu... (nevertheless, i tried also the build - in - micro from the notebook)
I allready tested to start TS3 as admin, but the same... (right click on icon...)
This is new for me since reinstalling Vista (32bit home)on my notebook (i've installed TS3 as second program - no changes had been made to the vista security system... ). I've done all updates...
I'm using the latest driver... and so on
I think it's not a problem of micro / driver / choosing device... because normally, when i activate permant sound there has to be the blue light, but it doesn't com up...
Thx for a solution

This is a problem between Hardware / Driver and TS. Can you try another hotkey and what key was set?
What client version do you useLast edited by dante696; 08-08-2011 at 14:00.

Can you try a normal key please? Please try a f +d or just f
CTRL + F is used to open the search filter.---------------------------------------------------------
