    Import/Export Identities?

    Hey,

Is there a way to import and export identities? I'm looking through my phone's files, and I can't find where to put my identity. Is there a specific directory that i should be looking at?

New Beta (closed beta started Oct 2012)
It appears from what I've heard speaking with those with the new beta the import process is changed. When you go to the identities management area of the app it will stat that it can't find the INI file in the /mnt/sdcard/downloads/ folder. I asked the user to check for a downloads folder in the internal memory (as this is where my phone's /mnt/sdcard/ points) and save the INI export from the desktop into that folder. He did and got he same error, then suggested copying the downloads folder to the external memory card and try again. This time it did import his UID exported from his desktop. So for now the import process appears to be (subject to change, and refining once I get my hands on it):
    1. On the desktop:
    2. Open TS3
    3. Open the Identities Window (Settings -> identities)
    4. Select the UID you want to export
    5. click export
    6. save the file to your drive
    7. copy the file to the phone's memory location: "/mnt/sdcard/downloads/"
    8. On the phone:
    9. open TeamSpeak 3 for Android
    10. navigate to the Identities area
    11. Long press on the existing identity
    12. This should import the new UID, and mark the existing one as default
    13. Long pressing on the new UID, should bring up a menu option to set as default
    14. Edit any book marks that need to use the new UID

Guild Software version (the old one)
    Yes.

    I did the following:
    1. On my desktop
    2. Open TS3
    3. Open the Identities Window (Settings -> identities)
    4. Select the UID you want to export
    5. click export
    6. save the file to your drive
    7. rename the file from [name].ini to [name].txt
    8. copy the file to the phone's memory (I connected via USB)
    9. On the phone:
    10. Open the file in a note editor
    11. select and copy the text of the identity key between the "s
    12. open TeamSpeak 3 for Android
    13. click Identities
    14. click on Default
    15. click edit
    16. delete the key in there
    17. paste the key from the TXT file
    18. rename the Identity if you want.

No need to edit the Default as well, there is a "New" button at the bottom create and save your identity.

Well, I have no use for the original default ID on my phone since all of my permissions are on the UID That I've had since Dec `09. So Editing the default was less steps than making a new UID to edit..

Just cut and past the key into a email send it to the phone, and cut it from the email and paste it into the id. That worked fine for me

Only way I would email it is if I could send it as an encrypted email. I have Server admin on too many servers to risk random interception.

The process on the iPhone is different than the Android. I think SCP make a thread with the iPhone process and it is very different.

using a galaxy s 2 and this isn't working for me.

I can join a server for Mount and blade called Nditions and the public server list but not my server or a server for a clan called Hospitaler.

Any advice? I have followed the instructions to the letter, multiple times.
