Hotkey in inactive Windows doesn't work

Push to talk works fine when Teamspeak window is on top. When the user is in-game (World of Warcraft) and Teamspeak window is in background, push to talk does not work anymore.

Edit: I can not reproduce this error (tested with Team Fortress 2, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2-Multiplayer)

possible solution: Run Teamspeak 3 as Administrator. Right click on desktop link, properties, ans look after Run application as administrator

Hello.

I play atm combat arms with couple friends.
I downloaded them newest TS3 client yesterday and connected their server.
Push-to-talk set to §(various buttons have been tried).
When i am in windows i can hear them, and they can hear me.
when i click combat arms back on from the bar, I can still hear them, but they cant hear me. it seems like push-to-talk is stuck or something when i have game on.
One time i pressed the § PTT button and clicked the game back on -> they heard me even if i stopped pressing §.

How Come??? this is frustrating problem as ive tried to do some stuff to fix it, but no.

My PC is running on Windows 7.

The problem is, that some games always run in admin mode and block key input for other applications.

So, i made a post here couple days ago about push to talk button not working while ingame. I tried (many many times) to run TS3 as administrator, but it still wouldnt work.

I can some kind of TS3 Window and tray thru the game!
and after a while the game crashes. what is the problem??

Need some help, please.

Go to Settings -> Plugins and uncheck DirectX overlay plugin. Running game in administrator mode, did resolve my problem of not being able to push-to-talk while ingame.

When I minimize Teamspeak 3, i can't speak becouse the microphone doesn't open. But when I have the TS3 maximized i can.
If you enable voice detector if you listen to me, it is only with key.

This is a problem when I'm playing games with team mates. Thanks.

Please give us more informations about your client version and soundcard.
What operation system do you use?

I can't imagine, why teamspeak should mute itself, when it is minimzed to tray.

I reinstalled the Teamspeak 3 x64 version (downloaded from teamspeak.com updated) and I use Win 7 x64. But the problem is not had before, is new and I think that the soundcard is the same becouse I didn't change the motherboard.

I have concerns in my Push to talk since it wont work when using in game.
I did what my mates said but still dont work and kinda odd.

Im using Windows XP and my sound devices are high definition audio device and IDT High Definition Audio CoDEC.

Im also using my built in mic.

I hope someone can help my settings.

I have the same problem.. When I'm in certain games (Supreme commander amongst others), the push-to-talk key does not work.. Also it does not work if I'm in a TeamViewer session and have that window selected.. I have to select the desktop or other windows to get the keys working.. I have assigned several keys, both on the mouse and keyboard.. This is extremely annoying.. Also, it can be noted that my Logitech G110 keyboard has a function for Ventrilo, but this key function cannot be assigned to TeamSpeak3.. I run Win7 Pro! Also this game I'm playing runs as admin.. I will try to set TS3 to admin as well..!
