    TeamSpeak 3 Client 3.0.1 available

    Hi,

    today we release TeamSpeak 3 Client Version 3.0.1, which fixes a few bugs and some sound issues some people were having. This version has been stewing in the beta channel for a few days already, so those with their client configured for beta channel already have this.

    Changelog:
    Code:
    === Client Release 3.0.1 12 Aug 2011
    * On machines that have a center speaker (like surround 5.1 and surround 7.1)
      changed the output channels for 1 channel sound to front left+right speakers
      (was center speaker). This fixes issues for people who have no center speaker
      connected even though their sound card is configured for surround sound.
    - Fixed "Assertion channels==0".
    - Fixed UTF-8 usage in plugins API, stylesheets, package installer, soundpacks
      and updater.
    - Fix sound issue on Mac for unknown/mono sound output devices
    - Fix assert in recordeditor when clientplugins modified captured sound data
    - clientquery: Fix issue where no ERROR_ok was returned when running
      clientupdate
    - clientquery: Documentation tweaks
    - Fixed possible crash with tsdns resolve
    - Fixed bug where ptt stayed active when whispering on a second tab
    As always: If you have any issues, comments, criticism, just post it below.

    Peter, is it normal that my change log within the client is incomplete?
    This part is missing completely:
    - Fix sound issue on Mac for unknown/mono sound output devices
    - Fix assert in recordeditor when clientplugins modified captured sound data
    - clientquery: Fix issue where no ERROR_ok was returned when running
    clientupdate
    - clientquery: Documentation tweaks
    - Fixed possible crash with tsdns resolve
    - Fixed bug where ptt stayed active when whispering on a second tab
    It can't be a matter of versions. I am using the 15001 build.
    That the MAC part is missing, seems normal to me, because I am using Windows, but what about the rest?

    Is there any option to set it back like it was before 3.0.1 final ?
    I now just have left and right speaker used from my 5.1 medusa USB headset.
    Also it sounds ugly with a little echo, not only other people also TS3 channel sounds.

    If I understand you right, look in the playback settings. That is a new option to play sound through center channel when available.

    I'd like to see OSS support for the linux client again. It doesn't even have to be OSS4 specific either. Just the basics would be fine.

    Yeah this is normal, the changelog was updated after release. Sorry for the late answer
