Cannot connect to server after recent TS3 client update

a few days ago i accepted the new client update as did one other that uses my server. i didnt change the server PW or the IP in the fields. the following night neither of us could log into the server. both got the same message "failed to connect to server" i have read through the FAQ's and the forums. maybe i missed a thread somewhere but i havent seen anyone with this problem since the update. i tried to put in a trouble ticket but it asked for my triton ID# which i have NO idea what it is or where to find it. please help me out. thanks.

What client version were you running before? Can you connect to any other servers, like the default TeamSpeak Public in the bookmarks?

Not sure what the previous client version was but the one im using now (recent update) is 3.0.0 Yes, i can connect to Teamspeak Public. Just not my own. Nor can my friend. running windows 7 64b using onboard sound. no card. the other night this happened. all night tried to log in and so did he. nothing. not easy playing black ops without communication...ANYways, as i was logging off i thought i would try one more time. it worked! but hasnt worked since then. that was 2 nights ago. ive tried all the usual things. reinstalling the client. turning off firewalls. turning off virus protection. burning sage over the PC. nothing worked. im 99% sure it has to do with the update since thats when the issues started

Afterthought. Everything else that requires a connection is working. Black Tomato (for black ops server), Rift, Black Ops, Steam, Netflix and so on.....

It maybe possible a TSDNS was setup that is incorrect and the previous version you ran didn't check for a TSDNS server.

Open your Client Log window (Tools -> Client Log) then attempt to connect. What Does the TSDNS info results return? If it returns an IP:PORT does it match the IP:PORT of your server?

Maybe it is a server side problem.
Please try to connect to our public server voice.teamspeak.com or 194.97.114.2

Just click the links for testing

I agree it is server side problem, but he said that old client version can connect but he and a friend that updated their clients can not connect now. If old clients (pre TSDNS support would be my guess) are working then there is a TSDNS server issue that the preventing the newer client from getting to the right address.

    Same as here.
Since today, I can't log to my guild TS3.
I am the only one, probably because none of them usually update the TS3 client.
I can connect to every other TS3 server I have in list, but not this one.

    Here is the Log report

31/08/2011 15:21:42 Info No TSDNS found at "host4clan.com"

The server is "ts3.host4clan.com:10419" (obviously I wont give the password around)
It worked perfectly till yesterday; today I can't log to the server, and of course I can't play since the game I've been playing requires teamwork.

Well the client version is not the issue, nor is TSDNS since there is no TSDNS setup.

Not sure why it would be offline. my account IS paid for this month as well. so its not a pay issue. this all started AFTER i downloaded the newest version. port and IP stayed the same. no, i dont get an ID# when i log in. i cant find it ANYWHERE! this is where i get stuck:

    STOP! PLEASE READ CAREFULLY...

TECH SUPPORT WILL BE PROVIDED ONLY IF:

You are a licensed, paying customer AND your account is in good standing.
You provide a valid Account ID # (not username) which you will be asked for below.
An actual bug/issue is found in our software for which you have provided sufficient documentation or proof, AND we are able to identify or reproduce the issue.
For TeamSpeak 3 you submit a FULL LOG FILE (not partial, copied pasted text, etc.) AND attach it to your ticket.

TECH SUPPORT WILL NOT BE PROVIDED IF:

You have a feature request. Instead, these should be submitted to our forums.
You ask us to log into your server, configure your server, configure your firewall, help you install software, or perform any kind of system administration, etc.
The answer to your query can easily be found as a result of failing to READ our documentation or SEARCH our forums.

    Then theres this section:

    Triton Required
    Triton Account ID #: *
    Invalid IDs will be IGNORED

WTF is the triton account ID# located?

If this issue isnt resolved within the next 2 days im just cancelling my account. its been 4 or 5 days already. Vent is looking pretty good right now.

    Hi,

please direct your anger at the person(s) responsible for hosting your TeamSpeak server. If you rented a TeamSpeak server, you should be telling them the server is offline and demanding them to fix the problem. If you yourself are hosting the server, you should check what happend to it (server log file, check if process is still running etc.).

Try and post information (and not assumptions) when you ask questions, this thread is already 17 posts and could have been much simpler (and more helpful to you!) if you had formulated more clearly and done some research.
You think my answer is stupid ? Read This:

In a world without fences and walls - who needs windows and gates ?
