we are happy to announce the preview release of a new server build with version 3.0.1.

Complete list of changes:

! removed database logging (sqlite users please manually do a vacuum on your database)
! we got now a logfile for every virtualserver and one general
! logview command reworked, please check docs for details
! removed client_login_name and client_login_password properties from snapshots
- fixed bug within server deploy (correct snapshot returned invalid_client_id)
- command serverlist -all returns "other_instance" for virtualserver_status if
  the virtualserver belongs to an other instance
- some improvements for quering virtualservers regarding machine_id parameter
- command servercreate wont need an virtualserver_name anymore, will use the
  template default name instead
- fixed guest client can set channel_icon_id and channel_flag_password
- fixed b_client_skip_channelgroup_permissions == 0 only overwrites skipped 
  permission if negated

For the new log features you need a client which is not yet released

This thread is for reporting issues with this version - no feature requests or general problems. Posts of that kind will be removed. For some features you need a new client which is not available yet (or use beta channel).

Show Older button in server log window will not enable. Currently only able to see the log since the server was last restarted. I was thinking the Show older button would step back though the log files for the current server ID in reverse chronological order.

Not really sure if this is client or server side yet.

ofcourse this is only for the current log file... we dont parse any older logs.

there will be an option for append to log files, so we dont create "new logs" everytime.

! added new start parameter logappend
  starting the instance with logappend=1 will append the logfile and wont create
  a new one on each instance start

Hello my server version : 3.0.1-pre1 (2011-09-30 12:47:24)

today at 18:30 server restarted themselves and connection lost (everyone) and after few seconds connect.

Like the way you did the logappend option, very easy for me to convert all the log history to the new format, or from the no datetime appended log files back to individual log files. Thank you.

One question: Is it intended that the server start delimiter of "===============" should shown in the Server Log window as Info with no other data?

No. These properties were removed because they've not been used as the client/channel icons are assigned via permissions.

logview begin_pos=-1 gives a #2052 file input/output error. You might want handle a negative begin_pos in a special way (e.g. handle it like it was 0). Additionally, logview begin_pos=1 gives a #1281 database empty result set, but I would expect it to respond the first character of the file.

Server problem is with TSDNS !

several clients complains ( but not all ) about connection to the server via domains !

they have problem with connect to my server via domain:

Failed to resolve hostname 'ts3bahu.com'

its relation with this server 3.0.1 pre1 but version 3.0.0 works well...

please fix that bug.
