Banner Gfx does not display

Hi there,

I've tried my best with the search function but did not succeed. So I started this new thread if there is a thread solving my problem I would be grateful for a link and would in this case beg your pardon for opening this one.

I've entered a vaild URL in the field "Banner Gfx URL" of the virtual server, the value is "http://www.wächterderweisheit.de/forum/styles/abrasive/theme/images/bg_header.png" (it's a RFC 349 domain name), Gfx Interval is 60. Opening with a browser the images is displayed properly. Even switching to other images (smaller) does not work.

Am I missing something? Why does the banner gfx not display?

I've tried the URL in my server and in the client's log I've found:
17/10/2011 10:29:31 Info No banner, refusing to display

Server: 3.0.0 [Build: 14957] Windows
Client: 3.0.1 [Build: 15001] Windows

From a html page, using <img src=" ... " > i see the image in IE...

Well, it seems there is "something" in the image. In Firefox and Chrome it appears as "size: unknown". I've downloaded it and putted in my web, then filled the "Banner Gfx URL" and everything has been ok, the banner has appeared in the client.

I would recommend trying with a normal JPG image, for exemple:
http://www.teamspeak.com/media_repos...r01_468x60.jpg

download it and
then upload it to
http://www.wächterderweisheit.de/for.../theme/images/

then indicate the address in the "Banner Gfx URL"
and
if fails --> something happens with the webserver and the images --> try putting the image in another webserver
if works --> something fails in the png itself -->

The problem is the Umlaut "ä" in his website. This domain isn't clickable in client chat.

I will make an ticket for that.

Update
I have some good news for you.

There is no problem with umlauts in the server banner.
But it seems, that your png file is an invalid format.

I can't reproduce it, but i opened and saved your banner with irfanview and can use it now as a banner and in channel description.

Client 3.0.2 will fix domains with umlauts and other allowed character in a domain name
