Do you get an error when you try to join a channel?

Normally should result in an error, but ... if you are a Server Admin verify in:
Permissions > Server Groups > Server Admin > Channel > Acces > ...b_channel_join_permanent is checked?

    edit:
And if you aren't a Server Admin, then you must ask him.

    Sorry but I'm confused.
You have a server on your own computer, or it's hosted ?

    edit:
Maybe you are looking at the basic permissions window.
To go to the advanced permissions:
Settings > Options > Application > Misc > ... check "Advanced Permissions System"

To check if you're a ServerAdmin at this time.
Click on your name, and look in the window on the right side:
    Server Group: ???

This would mean that... Server Group: Server Admin ?
If so, right click on your name ... Permissions > Permissions Overview > Export as PDF ,... and send us the file.
