Channel Ban
I have searched the forum for a plugin or suggestion for this but weirdly enough (imo) I didn't find any. I would like to suggest a Channel Ban feature for TeamSpekak 3. I think Channel Admins should be able to ban users from their channels after several kicks are not effective and people come back continueing whatever they did wrong. What do you folks think?

We won't add a banlist for channels, but you can use custom channel groups for this.
Just clone your Guest group and change the join power of tht group to -9999 and this user can't join the channel again.---------------------------------------------------------

Fair enough. Thanks alot
edit
I made a channel group Banned cloned from Guest and set the Join Power to -999, but the users in it can still join the channel. I don't see how this will work when the channels don't have a Needed Join Power set
This means I would have to set a Needed Join Power for all channels I guess?Last edited by Filosothic; 07-11-2011 at 11:59.

Please double check, that b_client_skip_channelgroup_permissions and the skip flag is not set, for the join power.
Please do not set needed join power to that group!

We're already using a "channel ban" group.
Look at the picture, more is not needed.
Note: You can still move clients in the channel (i. e. for lifting the ban).

Okay I did as the both of you said, I added ''Filosothix'' to the channel group Banned though ''Filosothik'' which is a Channel Admin and and testing it in a temporay channel but it doesn't work. ''Filosothix'' can still join the channel. I have a link to the Permissions Overview from ''Filosothix'' in the temporay channel ''test''. This is the link: http://www.filosothic.com/criten/banned.pdf

Maybe you need to set the "negated" flag at the channel_join_power of the "banned" group.

Hope you use server 3.0.1 for thsi action?
I can't see the problem, is there any needed join power on the channel set?---------------------------------------------------------

[sugesstion] Channel-Clientblack-/Whitelist and server-side plugins
I have a little idea for channel black- and whitelists to "ban" clients from a channel.
My permission suggestions are "channelblacklist_ignore_power" and "channelblacklist_modify_power". So it's possible that channeladmins can "ban" players from their own channel.
My second suggestion is to make it possible to use server-side plugins.
So it's possibly to change permission functions or add permissions like a channel-blacklist.
Please don't be angry if you find some spelling and grammar errors, english is not my best language.
Greetings, Audifire.

Florian would recommend to use search function
, this can already be done.
Just create a (permanent) channelgruop that has "i_channel_join_power" of -1 and assign this group to the user in that channel he should be banned.
