TS3 and BF3 problem
Hello everyone.
I have big problem with BF3 and TS3. Both work fine separately, but when I try to use them in the same time there is a problem with sound. To be precise when for example I start TS3 first and log on to server to speak with my clan mates everything is ok untill I start game...there is no sound in game. Then I have to quit TS and restart game. Other exaple is when I'm already in game and then connect to TS server...there is no sound in TS. Actually I do get error, something like Audio device can not be found. Then in TS setup I change (playback settings) device from Automatic to Direct sound or Windows session to make it work. Sometimes I have to repeat that last step several times. My sound card is Creative X-Fi Extreme Music...and never had any problem with it. I'm using Windows ultimate (up to date) 64Bit and latest sound card driver. I tried to reinstall TS3 few times but without success. Please help.

Here is a screen shot of error I get (when BF3 is running and I try to run TS3).

Could it be, that your device on teamspeak is called "default" and that BF3 changes your playback device?
Please try to select your listed soundcard instead default.---------------------------------------------------------

Sorry I was away for some time. dante696 I tried that, but it looks like TS resets itself from time to time. As zetachi wrote it does not happen always. There is one thing that needs more investigating. There is mode switcher in Creative Console Launcher. Since I have 5.1 speaker system and stereo headphones with mic. There are 3 modes to chose in mode switcher. Entertainment mode I use for every day use and it's set for 5.1 system. When I plan to play with my team naturally I'm using headphones and I switch to game mode which is set for headphones. Well today I forgot to switch in to game mode and connected to TS and later started to play. There was no problems accept some sound positioning in game. Than I noticed that I forgot to switch mode and exited the game and ts to do it. Well after that all problems are back and now I wonder are those problems related to mode switch.

I have some really annoying problems to with TS3 and BF3, when the game is loading TS3 doesn't seem to connect anymore with the server.
I loose contact and cannot hear others in the channel.
This also occurs while the map is changing on the battlefield 3 server.
More strange is that is even seems to happen when the server switches maps and I've allready stopped gaming.
We have a BF3 server hosted at clanhost.nl including Teamspeak 3 20 slots.
Others who are connected (clan-mates) do not have this issue.
It also seem to happen when I change some settings for the server with the admin tool Procon.
All of a sudden my connections seems interupted and it comes back within seconds.
While playing the game after it is loaded all works fine, some hick-ups, but I'm able to hear my team and speak to them.
I have an X-Fi xtreme Music (PCI) with windows 7 X64, overclocked Core i5 2500K (4.2GHZ) and 8 GB RAM with a GTX570, the game runs flawlessly and i have resources enough to run teamspeak.
I am the teamspeak admin, this is the only difference with others in the channel.
I have reinstalled TS3 client, rebooted the server, reïnstalled X-fi drivers set the capture and playback device dedicated to the output/input and direct sound, changed it back.
really anoying, I will also ask the teamspeak server hoster if they no a solution.
Tonight I will even try to remove the X-fi and run all sound from my onboard device which should be fine because it uses the really good realtek ALC889 with a signal to noice ratio of 108db (better then my modified Xtreme Music).
But I doubt that will work.

Teamspeak and BF3 sound issues??
Hello all,
I have been using Ventrillo for some time and started using Teamspeak recently and noticed the sound quality much better in Teamspeak. This lasted for about a day or two and now, everytime I use Teamspeak with BF3, I have to keep resetting the sound in Win7(64)...the Teamspeak still seems to work fine but the sound in BF3 continually gets cut to almost zero. This doesn't happen in Ventrillo at all. Anyone else having similar problems?

Hello,
Please, try to deactivate the 'Volume control' plugin. You'll find it in:
Settings --> Plugins
Greetings.

Ok, I'll try that and get back to the forum...let you know if it solves the issue. I did notice that the volume add-on was enabled.

Don't worry: nor tired, neither blind. Probably you have updated to client 3.0.7 and this plugin has been removed.
Sorry, but I have no explanation why if not using the plugin the issue persists.Code:=== Client Release 3.0.7 21 Jun 2012 . . . - Volume control plugin has been removed for now, there are too many issues for too many users. The updater will automatically delete the DLL. . . .
Based in this post:

Maybe the effect remains till you restart the computer.
