PTT key supression
It would be really nice to be able to suppress the PTT hotkey.

Has this feature been added in any form? Through a plugin maybe? I use voice activation, but wish to have my F10 key be used to mute my mic. It's annoying when surfing the net and F10 not only mutes my mic, but also functions as normal in other programs.
Mumble had a "Suppress" option, so was wondering if TS3 has also added one.

im not doing that much winapi dev so i can really be wrong but i doubt that this is even possible
not teamspeak is capturung hotkeys - windows is (hotkeycmd if i remeber right is the service for that)
you can link to that service by api so your application can use the capturing
but i dont think theres any kind of command to surpess for other applications
but again i could be totally wrong is a long time ago i made stuff like that

This appearently has been implemented, but just hasn't release out to public yet
Because I saw an option named "Discard" with description "When enabled the key will not be submitted to other applications." in my translation file in the hotkey setup dialog, so I'm sure this will come eventually, keep your hopes up

It has been implemented in our latest beta but only usable with enabled window hooks.

But I have to say we heaven't decided yet which hotkey system(s) will stay in at the end.
We are still collecting feedback because every hotkey system has its pro and contra.

Settings -> options -> hotkeys at the bottom right you will find a drop down menu, select Keyboard & Mouse only and hit apply. Now you should be able to edit a hotkey as described above.

Awesome!
I never understood that menu, could you please explain it? It feels convoluted, I reckon most people would never find this feature under the current implementation. Discard also seems like bad wording, suppress is a lot easier to understand.
Thanks

The drop down just offers to use different means of detecting keys being pressed, in case one won't work properly in your environment for some reason.
Discard as in the key event is discarded after it has been processed by TeamSpeak. It also has a Tooltip explaining it.
We don't see any need to change anything here.

Alright, I think that's fair although the menu might need some small text explaining what you just said. I was confused of what it did and it didn't make any sense that the discard option would only show when "Keyboard & Mouse only" was selected.
I asked a lot of people on TS about this feature and nobody could find an answer until I found this thread; maybe that's enough anecdotal evidence of the unnecessary difficulty of finding this hidden feature.
