Solved [Suggestion] new voice codec suggestion "Opus"

I would like to see support for the voice codec Opus

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opus_%28codec%29

    http://opus-codec.org/

Opus (originally Harmony, also referred to internally as ietfcodec) is a low-delay wideband codec intended for applications such as VoIP that will eventually be royalty-free. Opus incorporates technology from the speech-oriented SILK codec and the low-latency CELT codec. Development for the codec is coordinated by the IETF.

Opus has been shown to have excellent quality, and at higher bit rates, it turns out to be competitive with codecs with much higher delay, such as HE-AAC and Vorbis.

can this be look at for future releases

Opus is the new state of the art codec. Now that it's nearly finished, I'd like to see this codec supported in future releases of Teamspeak. :-)

Seems Opus has received a lot of traction and finalization of the codec 1.0 is going to occur in August. Is Teamspeak considering using the codec. I found it rather impressive.

Would be nice to see teamspeak incorporate a brand new codec before other VOIP solutions, especially if its going to be potentially better.

    Audio codec: OPUS

Are there any plans for supporting Opus in the upcomming releases?

Mumble will use it, it's a free codec, performing better then existing ones.
