Reserved Slots Issue
How do i make my reserved slots work for a pacific group?
I have been trying to make my reserved slots only used for a pacific group. "my clan" so nobody can take the last 6 slots but this group only.
Is this possible? I just cant seem to get it to doit. How do i make it do this? As we cant even use the slots when i set the group to use the reserved slots. I must be doing something wrong with the permissions.
Value is checked,
skip is unchecked,
negate unchecked,
grant - 75
What is the point of reserved slots feature if i cant use it for a pacific group? Please tell me its possible i really need this to work i only own a 10 slot server.

Hello
Just check the b_client_use_reserved_slot in your specific group (and uncheck this one on every other groups)
And also, don't forget to set the number in the virtual server settings
But what did you try, and what is exactly your problem. Please bo more specific.

hold on, does this reserved slot feature only come into place when say for example your 10 slots are full it will reserve for a further 10 more people in groups with this value checked?
Its just im quite confused about what this feature actually does as its giving me mixed ideas. I thought it was to stop the server being full, not to use slots i actually do not have as i rent this server so im sure they wouldnt allow me to reserve a further 10 more slots, or would they?
In ts3 it says this...
"Allows using reserved slots of the virtual server. These slots can be used by clients to connect to the server, even when the maximum slots of the server has been reached."
How is this possible if i rent just a 10 slot server?
Isnt there a feature to stop my server becomming full just with guests? Its quite silly if not as it would not be right to try to connect to your own server and not be able to connect as its full with other people. Thats why i wanted to reserve like 5 from a possible 10 until i get more slots so 4 people in a pacific group can only use the other 4 slots but i guess that there isnt such a feature then?

It works this way.
You have a few slots granted (e.g.32)
If your server has already 32 users logged in, when you want to go there, you can't do it.
So, you can keep 1 slot for yourself, then there will be available 32-1=31 slots, and you always have access granted to the server .

no because i tried this a 100x! it doesnt let SA or any other assigned group use the reserved slots for some stupid reason with the correct tickboxes ticked and 75 grant permission along with the reserved slots set to the amount i want. Everytime i try it will just block slots off my ts and no groups can join the reserved slots. Why i really dont know because i ticked the "use reserved slots" checkbox for SA and another group which i wanted to be able to use the slots. It just does not work. It fails and blocks all the reserved slots from being used altogether

Simple questions:
The b_client_skip_channelgroup_permissions is checked in these specific groups ?
Do you get the same result if you check the skip option for this permission ?
The users who allowed to use the reserved slot have only or several server groups ?
If you check the permission overview from a specific user, this permission is still present in the All section (at the end) ?
(Right click on user > Permissions > Permissions Overview - also please post it here : click on Export as PDF button)

There are 2 permissions for reserved slots.
Permission 1 b_virtualserver_modify_reserved_slots allows to modify the number for reserved slots and permission 2 b_client_use_reserved_slot makes it possible, that a client can use such a slot.---------------------------------------------------------
