When talking I can't hear my mates

So I'm having a problem since a couple of days, whenever I start talking I can't hear my mates anymore. I thought its a problem with skype but it wasn't. I hope you guys can tell me what I could do to fix this problem.

Do you mean you can't hear the others during you talk or you can't hear the others after talk ?

If it's the one, I guess you have the priority speaker option (Right click on you)

Hey, no I don't have the priority speaker. I can't hear them during I talk yes, and right after I stop I can hear them again.

Then, you probably got an high value for echo reduction.
I've got 10 db. For adjusting the value:
Settings --> Options --> Capture --> you've got 'Echo reduction' checked, then try with a value of 10 in "Echo reduction reduces playback by".

When ever i Que up my mic since the latest update i have been having issues with my sound. I use push to talk and every time i que my mic to talk everyone else that is talking at the same time their volume becomes reduced to the point of almost muted and i cannot hear them.

I have found resolutions to this problem on the forums but they are only for windows 7.....i run windows XP, i have tried all the plug in settings, capture settings, went into my control panel on my PC and i do not have the option that windows 7 shows for a communications tab or any options like this on my PC.

I am now at a complete loss at what to do to fix this....i even uninstalled my skype because a friend told me that might also be the issue after browsing the TS forums.
